reject Peace

by pushkar prabhat

You could say,

i have peace.

There is none, and

nothing to bother.

The fallen leaves make

the ground soft to sleep.

i am blessed, for

them blades,

do taste sweet.

And it’s a miracle;

how water droplets

collect on their tips.

i could dream

all night, all day

i could sleep.

No one is waiting,

No one’s looking for me.

You are right.

Here, indeed, is peace.

But even if, with

that fact, i do

make peace.

There will still be

one thing missing,

from the piece.

And i fear, this

lack of purpose will,

be the end of me.
